On board drinking water originates from various sources and is stored for lengths of time in special vessel tanks. Concern for the basic quality parameters of the drinking water which is directly linked to crew’s health and well being, can be addressed by drinking water quality monitoring.
NAIAS LABS has developed an on-board Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Program which includes all necessary consumables, sample transportation charges via DHL and the certificate of quality for the sample examined.
A basic chemical and microbiological analyses on drinking water sample is available using a prepaid self contained sampling, dispatching and analysis program.
The program includes a pre sterilized sampling bottle and label, a blank form to be filled out by crew with the sampling details and one pre addressed, IATA certified, carton box for dispatching the sample back to the laboratories for analysis, via DHL.
The analysis report is then sent electronically and, as a hard copy, by mail.
The cost for this program includes the dispatching of the sampling consumables to the vessel as well as the dispatching of the sample back to the laboratories.
