The device follows the guidelines of the International Standard ASTM D 4171 for the sampling of fuel and is MARPOL 73/78 ANNEX VI, Regulation 18 compliant.

Each device bears a unique Serial Number and comes with its own certificate.

The device can make use of the class approved and certified Diesel Oil / Gas Oil quality monitoring system of NAIAS. Thus the vessel can fulfill all the requirements for its protection from poor quality fuel delivered as well as towards the MARPOL 73/78 ANNEX VI directives.
