NAIAS LABS S.A. has been awarded ‘ISO IEN/IEC 17025:2005’ accreditation by the HELLENIC ACCREDITATION SYSTEM (ESYD) for three (3) more chemical tests and analytical methods regarding petroleum products.

ISO 17025 accreditation demonstrates that the NAIAS LABS S.A. operate under a quality management system that display competency to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It also covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.

• On March 2010 NAIAS LABS was certified for its services under ISO 9001 : 2008 by the American Bureau of Shipping Quality Evaluations, adding further to its already wide list of certifications for its services.
• ABS CONSULTING Maritime Services LLC, an American Bureau Shipping group company, successfully audited and approved NAIAS LABS S.A. for Marine Fuels Testing services, in April 2010.

• At the invitation of a Chian Shipowners Association NAIAS LABS presented in March 2010, in Piraeus a technical seminar on the implications of the use of Low Sulphur Bunker Fuels by vessels. The presentation was very well attended and was followed by a friendly reception.
• Invited by CHIOS MARINE CLUB, NAIAS LABS presented at the auditorium of Tsakos Shipping, in April 2010, in Athens, a technical seminar on the upcoming revisions of the Bunker Fuels Quality Specifications International Standard ISO 8217. The presentation was very well attended and was followed by a reception.

NAIAS completed with absolute success the last IIS International Round Robin Proficiency Test on quality testing Fuel, Gasoline, jet-A1 and Diesel Oil samples.
