A new Ultra Low Sulphur analyzer was installed at NAIAS LABS in order to assist the quality control of the new environmentally friendlier fuels with a very low sulphur content. This very important sulphur analysis is also certified under the new Quality Assurance Standard EN ISO 20846.

On February 14th, 2006 the AMERICAN BUREAU of SHIPPING (ABS) issued a formal survey report approving and accepting for use on its vessels our patended Bunker Fuels Continuous Drip Sampling Device (flange) as conforming to ASTM D 4177 guidelines, the MEPC.96 (47) IMO requirements and the MARPOL Annex VI, Regulation 18 requirements.

November 2005: New marine fuel specifications in effect Print

Effective November 2005, the revised version of ISO 8217:1996 (E) on the specifications of Marine Fuels was revised and published as ISO 8217:2005 (E).

Changes include fewer Residual Fuel classes, revised parameters slate as well as revised parameter limits.
